'Wake up the World' was created by Michael Moon with a miscellany
of exotic instruments including vibraharp, hammered dulcimer,
marimba, bells, crystals, slide and rhythm guitar, drums, and
percussion. This unique sonic production utilizes techniques
of sound healing and shamanism creating a mystical atmosphere
in which Michael's provocative lyrics weave a magical spell.
These are pop style songs which evoke other worlds, and weave
the subtleties of spirit with the realities and beauty of this
physical world. (It has been described as 'Loreena Mckennitt
meets Pink Floyd') The music is designed to take the avid listener
on an entertaining, and inspiring healing, journey.
(This CD is a celebration of Michael's song 'Wake Up the World'
winning as finalist in the 2003 Tipperary international song
of peace songwriting competition.) It is a limited edition compilation
of some of the new material being worked on for 2 different
upcoming CD's. Though perfect in of itself it will never appear
in this form again. What you see is a snapshot of me and my
music in this moment of time, I'm honored to be able to share
it with you.
